Women have an evolving ‘do’s, from super long, straight stresses, short, perky bobs to curls! Haircuts can either expose your imperfections or cover them. Your hair should complement your outfit, your make up but most importantly, your face. Learn to recognize your face shape before picking a great hairstyle to suit you.

If you have an ideal oval face, it’s the most flexible type that goes with just about any style. You can wear long or short hair, straight, curly or very modern styles. For a round shape face, short styles are a no-no, stick to longer hair styles. Wear your hair flat on sides to give the illusion that your face is longer than it is in reality. If you have a square face, soften the strong angular lines by avoiding very short hair styles. Long hair should fall past your shoulders. Try soft wavy bangs down over your temples and never have a hair cut at jaw level .A thin and long face should choose a style with width and softness. Sleek bob is the perfect choice, ending above, or on the jaw line. Bangs will also suit you but let it fall straight across the forehead and avoid a straight long hairstyle that will make your face look much too long. Heart shape faces are flattered by short bobs that flick in under the neck. To add a width to your narrow chin, try a softer, curlier style. Feathered bangs, swept to the side would also look good on you. A pear shaped face has a wide forehead, small cheekbones and a narrow chin. Hair tied back in a ponytail would be a big mistake for you as well as short crops hairstyle. Go for a style with volume between the ears and shoulders.

It is possible to have a face shape which doesn’t fall into any of the mentioned category. Experiment with styles, your hair may look great today but not tomorrow, with a little creativity you can find the right look.

Are you having skin troubles? For some people, they tend to have unwanted acne, blackheads and pimples during the teenager phase. Some though inherit skin that can be prone to these skin problems. A good number also develop these in time due to the environment where they stay in and also to lifestyle. If you have naturally good skin but apply too many products to it, you can also be prone to skin irritations and the like. You may need to use some oily skin products or other types of cosmetics to keep your skin looking young and healthy.

After getting rid of acne, it can leave some scars that look unpleasant. For this, you can use an acne scar cream made of natural ingredients. This will leave no side effects and is very delicate on the skin. A good ingredient to look for in this case is Zinc. Zinc regulates sebum production which greatly helps in eliminating acne.

For ageing women, the most common problem they have is sagging skin around the neck, under the arms, and on the hips. One of the best products they could use is a body firming lotion. There are different variants available in the market right now. Sometimes, concentrated types are more effective to other women. One important feature that you want to look for in a body firming cream or lotion is Vitamin C which produces high levels of collagen. This will also help you achieve clarity and eliminate age spots, sun spots and other dark areas.

As you get older, your skin becomes dryer and it’s troublesome to see scales and cracks. Dry skin is caused by lack of sebum, an oil substance that gives your skin a shield against water evaporation. Reasons for dry skin include aging, frequent exposure to wind and sun, unhealthy eating habits, skin allergies, chemicals that draw moisture from the skin, excessive showering and scrubbing your skin, or not enough vitamins and water. Knowing what you can do about it might spare you from getting a flakey, wrinkled and itchy dry skin.

Avoid direct exposure to sun, especially from 12 noon to 3 in the afternoon. Bathe with comfortably warm water using a mild bar soap, avoid liquid and deodorant soaps. When you finish your bath, pat the skin dry, don’t rub it, and immediately apply moisturizer. Creams, baby oil and lotions are also effective remedies for dry skin. For swimmers, apply a light layer of petroleum jelly before going to the pool. Avoid overusing perfumes and antiperspirant. To keep the body and skin hydrated, drink lots of water. Get enough sleep, during sleep, your skin cells renew themselves. Exercise to improve blood circulation to all parts of the body and nourish the skin from within. Take vitamins regularly. Vitamin C is especially effective for skin care.

Dry skin can become a problem that can lead to skin infections. However, going to a doctor or a dermatologist can be avoided if you properly take care of your skin, keep your body well-hydrated, make few simple changes in your lifestyle. If skin problems persist, if your skin becomes red, swollen and painful, time to visit your doctor.

It’s a nightmare to see the annoying bags around the eyes when you look at the mirror in the morning. Puffy eyes can result from a number of causes, including: heredity, fluid retention such as due to pregnancy, hormonal variation, weather changes, allergies or other medical conditions. Cheer up! You don’t have to go under the knife, there are a number of steps you can take to prevent and reduce under-eye puffiness.

You can place cooling agents on your eyes. The cucumber trick works. Use sliced raw cucumbers and place on closed eyes for over 15 minutes. You can put them in the freezer for a few minutes before use. You can also use a refrigerated gel mask or a tea bag soaked in cold water. Like the chilled cucumber, the coolness lessens circulation. You can also take a metal tablespoon, put it in the fridge or run it under cold water and place the back against your eyes.

Get enough sleep. Puffiness under the eye is the most common symptom of lack of sleep. Aim for seven to eight hours of sleep a night. And when you go to bed, elevate your head using several pillows to prevent fluid from settling under your eyes.

Drink plenty of water! People with puffy eyes are usually dehydrated. You can also try eye exercises. Move both eyes in a circular motion clockwise, counter clockwise then in all directions.
Reduce the salt in your diet. Your body retains more fluid if you have a high intake of sodium which is advisable not only for your eyes, but also for your health in general.
If puffiness is persistent or severe, consult your doctor. You may have other conditions associated with puffy eyes.

You waste tons of money on expensive lotions, creams and other beauty products and put your health on the line just to be beautiful. Unfortunately, most women are aware of the hazards they get from these of beauty products but are still willing to sacrifice their own health in exchange for beauty.

Lurking inside your cosmetics bags and behind your medicine cabinets are beauty products with ingredients that are very dangerous for your bodies. The growing list of modern cosmetics has toxins that could cause reproductive damage or cancer over years of continuous use. Manufacturers add synthetic ingredients to their products that your shampoos, moisturizers, hair dyes, or make up could trigger allergic reactions, interfere with the endocrine system, impair reproduction or cause cancer. The culprits include synthetic fragrances, coal tar, formaldehyde, phenols, sodium laureth sulfate and toxic dyes. Also, cosmetics that claim to be “natural” or “organic” may still have toxic ingredients.

Health really pays a price. You don’t have to choose beauty before health. If you want to be beautiful, you can make your own beauty products using herbs, vegetable or fruits. You can make face masks out of cucumber, peach or citrus fruit. Olive oils can give you amazingly shiny hair, soft hands and silky skin. Blueberry is popular because of its antioxidant, antiaging, and anti-inflammatory effects. You can heal skin irritations and scars using aloe vera. Just be aware, be resourceful and be creative, health is still your wealth.
